Playing soccer at the gold level requires a time commitment that all players are expected to make.
There will be two training sessions per week and players are expected to attend both when healthy. If you are unable to make a training session for any reason, you must notify the coach ahead of time.
There will be at least one game per week. The coach may arrange exhibition games or register the team in tournaments. Players are expected to be at all scheduled league games and be clear in communication of any exhibition games and/or tournaments they are not able to attend ahead of time. At the Gold level players are to play a minimum half a game, every game subject to meeting the commitments detailed here.
Coaches are not obligated to play every player equal time. Attendance at training sessions and games may be a factor in how much playing time a player receives at the Gold level. If there are factors that will limit your ability to attend training sessions or games, whether they be academic, participation in other sports, religious occasions, or any other, you are required to inform the age group coordinator(s) and coach at this stage.
Other commitments will not automatically preclude you from being selected to a Gold team, but it may be a factor that is considered by the coach of the team.
