The Point Grey Soccer Club was founded in Vancouver over fifty years ago. In 1977, the Club was incorporated under the Society Act of British Columbia to promote and administer the game of soccer as a recreational and competitive activity in the Point Grey area of the City of Vancouver.
The Club is a member of the Vancouver Youth Soccer Association, the Vancouver-Richmond Girls Soccer Association, the Four District Soccer Association (boys), the Five District Soccer Association (girls) the British Columbia Soccer Association, and the Canadian Soccer Association. It is governed by the rules and regulations of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the international soccer governing authority.
Point Grey Soccer Club is now the second largest community soccer club in Vancouver, with approximately 1200 boys and girls registered between the ages of 5 and 17. As of 2004, we are also the largest club in Vancouver with children in mini soccer (ages 5-10) with more than 450 players registered.
The Club also has 3 adult men's teams: 1 over 40's team, and 2 over 50's teams.
The Club is run almost entirely by volunteers, from the Board of Directors to the approximately 200 coaches and assistant coaches.
