  • Over the course of their time in Micro and Mini's every player should benefit equally from exposure to the best coaches in the Club
  • Where possible players will be placed with one friend if their registration is in by June 1.
Process
  1. At the end of each season each Coach will complete an On-Line Player Assessment Form.
  2. The data will be forwarded to each age group coordinator by the Administrator.
  3. Working with the Director of Mini's and the Club Administrator a each age group coordinator will make a judgment with respect to how many teams need to be formed for next year.
  4. Teams are then formed by the Age Group Coordinator.
  5. At a Mini's Team Formation Meeting, Age Group Coordinators hold meetings with their Coaches from the previous year and if possible coaches from the next year, if appropriate to select teams. Present at the general meeting is the Director of Mini's and one other Board Member. See below.
  6. Registrants after June 1 are assigned to the already formed teams at the sole discretion of the age group coordinator with the objective keep the teams equal.
The Team Formation Meeting
  • The venue chosen provides for a general meeting to review process.
  • The larger group breaks out by U-level to deal with team formation.
  • Each coach puts up a sheet of  flip paper with the initial selections for his team.
  • Coaches then work together in what ever form they wish, with evaluations in hand, to assign the rest of the players. The objective is to work together to create even functional teams.
